The Bonus Site for C# 2008 For Dummies

New on the site

As I add significant new downloads or other items to the site, I'll note them here. Check here as soon as you arrive on the site.

  • 2.18.12. Bill Sempf is already at work on the next version of C# 2010 All-In-One For Dummies, coming later this year.
  • 1.16.12. Added a new 250-page tutorial on doing Test-Driven Development (TDD). See the Home page for a download link.
  • 5.23.11. Added a new article on the Articles page: "A Pretty Face: Testing the User Interface."
  • 1.9.11. Added two new bonus chapters (with code). Bonus Chapter 8, Lambda Examples, and Bonus Chapter 9, LINQ Expressions, were dropped from the C# 2010 All-In-One For Dummies book, so I'm providing those valuable chapters here. See the Bonus Chapters page.
  • Added a new code example: BigPigLatin. See the Code Examples page.
  • Fixed a big boo-boo in the code example downloads on the Examples page. I had left out 9 of the 10 code examples for Chapter 11 in C# 2008 For Dummies
  • Added two new articles: "Introducing Unit Testing" and "Introducing Refactoring." See the Articles page.
  • 12.5.11. Added a downloadable table mapping chapters in the 2008 edition to chapters in the 2010 edition. This will help you map the 2008 code examples to their places in the 2010 edition. Note that those examples--and the content of the 2008 edition --are still completely relevant. C# doesn't change except to add new features and get even better than ever. And C# is by far my favorite programming language.
